Does it affect you?

Does the web accessibility law apply to you?

Law 11/2023 — the Spanish transposition of the European Accessibility Act — has applied to most businesses selling online since 28 June 2025.

You sell online

Products, services, bookings or subscriptions. Even if online sales are only part of your business.

You have 10+ employees, or turnover above €2M

If you exceed either threshold, the micro-enterprise exemption does not cover you.

Your site runs on WordPress or WooCommerce

Themes and plugins installed years ago were rarely reviewed with accessibility in mind.

You have never had an accessibility audit

If you don't know what WCAG is, your site almost certainly has undetected issues.

Ticked the first box and at least one more? The law applies to you. Check it with data, not guesses.

What your web accessibility report includes

Enter your URL, the automatic scanner checks your site against the WCAG 2.1 AA criteria the law requires, and the report lands in your inbox.

Your top 5 issues

The failures with the highest legal risk on your site, pinpointed: where they are, who they exclude and which to fix first.

Your compliance score

A number from 0 to 100 showing how far you are from what the law requires. No interpretation: a data point.

Explained in plain words

No WCAG jargon. What each failure means, what it implies for your business and what happens if you leave it.

Full transparency: an automatic scan catches the most common, objective issues — not 100% of them. It is the fastest way to know where you stand. What a machine cannot see — real keyboard navigation, screen readers, complete checkout flows — is exactly what the full audit covers.

Who is behind this

The test is automatic. The accessibility audit is not.

I am Cristian Cascante, a WordPress engineer with 20+ years building and rescuing websites. The scan tells you where you stand. If you decide to comply, that is where I come in: I don't just tell you what is wrong — I leave it compliant.

  1. Full audit

Manual review on top of the automatic one: keyboard navigation, screen readers and your real checkout flows.

  2. Remediation

I fix the issues directly in your WordPress or WooCommerce: code, theme and plugins. Not a PDF with homework.

  3. Monitoring

Your site keeps changing. Compliance is checked continuously so you never go back to square one.

  4. No smoke: if your site is in reasonably good shape, the report will say so too.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions about the web accessibility law

Can I really be fined over my website’s accessibility?

Yes. Law 11/2023 has been in force since 28 June 2025 and provides for fines of up to one million euros in the most serious cases. In practice, the process usually starts with a complaint from a user or an association, followed by a formal notice with a deadline to fix things. The expensive part is not just the potential fine: it is fixing the site in a hurry with an open case against you.

Is an accessibility widget not enough?

No. Widgets and overlays layer patches on top of an inaccessible site, but they do not fix the code, which is what the law requires. Some even make the screen-reader experience worse. Compliance means fixing the theme, the templates and the content: there is no one-click shortcut.

How long does the scan take and what does it cost?

The scan is free with no strings attached. You enter your website URL and receive the report by email in under a minute, with your compliance score and the top 5 issues explained without technical jargon.

What happens after the scan?

You get the report and you decide. If you want to comply with the law, the next step is the full audit: manual review on top of the automatic one, a remediation plan and fixes applied directly in your WordPress. No pushy sales calls: the report is yours whatever you do.

What if my site is not built with WordPress?

The scanner analyses any public website. I do remediation in WordPress and WooCommerce, where I have spent 20+ years; if your site uses another technology, the report is just as useful and I will point you to the right next step.
